well well the expected happened yet again. Jirou treats the obviously over-self-sexualized girl with honor and respect and doesn't 'smash her like button repeatedly when offered' and she swoons over him for it.

i'm heading onto the 4th episode to see if where i think this show is going actually happens. Akari confronts Shiori and tells her 'girl, i like him, Jirou's going to be mine. deal with it or fight me for him.'

It's good that they're showing how much care for each other. Sad that each are too shy openly. Although Akari asking for another kiss(for any reason), should have let Jirou know right then how much Akari likes him. But he's too scared 😱to notice. Now I understand who's going to hold the relationship development back 😔😔😔so sad.

I like the anime so far. However they should have kept the story like the manga❗❓❗ Jirou originally got rejected by Shiori, and since been a nerd. At least it would make some sense for him being a(heart broken😭) shut in. He was totally different as a child😁(from the manga). Anyway onward 👍.

I agree, and like this series. I guess seeing it in anime, the characters emotions seem more intense. Just wish Jirou didn't have to take so long to realize his feelings.

after watching the next episode, I can see the change that would have done to the story... not only his personality but also Jirou's relationship starting to form with Akari would have made much more sense... but at the same time I think showing the angle between Jirou and Shiori would have been weird to show. Shiori would look like a girl not able to let go a boy she rejected herself. weird for her personality type in my opinion.

I think you're right about that. Anime is more lite and not to tense on the subject, but more focused on the situational romcom. The manga for Shiori regrets rejecting Jirou and wants to get him back. Jirou wants a second chance with his first crush. Now add Akari with Jirou, new feelings conflicting with old ones, this is now slice of life drama.
